I haven't really made the time to collect my thoughts about my new gig (job). I've been settled in for a couple of weeks at my permanent service site, getting into the groove of things. I mostly love it. My managers are awesome and the culture at work is very standards based, but nurturing. I am working with and getting to know a team of diverse and cool people. Working with kids is mostly great, too. I am considering getting into elementary school teaching now, which is something I'd never have anticipated wanting to do. I am still thinking things through and collecting experiences.
I have a few gripes with certain super anal rules and practices, but overall the only REAL drawback is the low stipend.
It's gonna be a great year.
It seems like the kids love you a lot! So why not elementary education? (Saw the pics you posted with the drawings some kids would give you.) :-) But I understand why you're not too keen on jumping the gun just yet.
